Our Ministries

Global Ministry

Missionary Encouragement Fund: These funds are available to assist a Canadian Covenanter in a missionary project for a term of (3 months or more). An initial application form requesting general information, project involvement and project question in addition to a letter of recommendation from pastor and summary of spiritual journey will be required. This vital ministry encourages Canadian Covenanters to impact their world for Christ through global ministry.

Educate the GirlsEducate the Girls: Two forces prevent young girls in the Congo from reaching their fullest potential: culture and poverty. We can help by sending monies to cover the state exam fees. Fifty dollars will pay for one girl's exam.

Rip 'N Roll: Rolled bandages as well as layettes and other medical supplies are still much in demand. For an entire list of specifics check the Global Ministry Handbook 2007 or the link to the denominational Women Ministries and check under Global Ministry.

Raise the FlagRaise the Flag: Bringing international women guest to Triennial has been a blessing to both those who are supported to travel to Triennial as well as those attending Triennial. Anticipating Triennial in 2010 Canadian WM seeks to raise $500 per year over a 3 year period.

Compassion, Mercy and Justice Ministry

Karen BayleyAVA Canada: With the training of Karen Bayley (Strathmore) for Advocates for Victims of Abuse the Canada Conference now has a gifted and passionate advocate ready to train local church advocates. Providing funds for resourcing and travelling will aid Karen in reaching people with a heart for the wounded in their community.

Break the ChainsThe promotional DVD was sent to each church in Jan. 2008 along with helpful information. Equipping Ministry

WM Equipping Ministry seeks to equip the local ECCC churches to better minister to their communities. Twice a year, we publish the Connections newsletter, which is written and edited by women across our conference. We also provide financial assistance to help to equip leaders in Biblical training and to allow spouses of ordinands to attend ordination. Funds are also available to new churches to assist with the purchase of worship materials.

Worship Enhancement Fund: New church plants may receive $1000 to purchase relevant resources to enhance worship, such as multi-media equipment. Church plants desiring to receive this one time gift should apply in writing to Women Ministries stating their request and how the funds will be used. A reference from Superintendent Jeff Anderson confirming the church’s status is also requested.

Growth Ministry

Whether your Women Ministries is a long established group or one that is just beginning there is a recognized need for “Ministry Coaches.” The Ministry Coach initiative exists to equip women to coach local women ministry leaders who are excited about loving and serving Jesus; fulfilling their calling and giftedness and working in harmony with their church’s vision.
This initiative has been successful across many conferences but presently the Canada Conference does not have a trained Coach. It is our desire to sponsor a woman to be trained as Ministry Coach. Women interested in becoming a coach are encouraged to contact the WM Leadership Team. A letter of recommendation from the local Women Ministries co coordinator and pastor will be requested.
The Ministry Coach will serve in her region as a volunteer who trains local leaders to design women ministries in harmony with the church’s vision. She would follow up on training, assisting and encouraging local leaders with any challenges they are facing.
